Week 15 Review: Mirror, Mirror

From Goodreads:
Once upon a time…...

...…in a world far removed from the days when fairy tales were new, five bestselling authors spin versions that take the classic stories into a new dimension. You’ll recognize Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and other enduring characters, but they’ll exist in realms beyond your imagination, where the familiar is transformed into the extraordinary and otherworldly.

My Review:
So there's 5 short stories, so each'll get about a paragraph, and yeah. Because I really enjoyed this anthology!

First up is the In Death story, with the fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel, where twin boy and girl are kidnapped-by their mother? But it turns out that their mother has a twin sister, who killed their father, and tried to kill her, because the evil twin believe the other was taking away from her power. And yeah, evil twin was really scary in the horror vibe, like what she did to that one prisoner or nurse? Yeah, that was pretty gross! And how Eve was the Good Witch? Yeah, this was a great story!!!

Next was a historical story, didn't recognize the fairy tale, but wishes, that usually means genies or jinn, but this one was a coin, and yeah, it was a great story, and how she was also a bit of Goldilocks, trying out all the beds, all the chairs, and the alcohol. And yeah, their love story, with him healing, was pretty sweet!

Next was a modern day Sleeping Beauty, but the Beauty was a guy, and he was thought dead, not sleeping, and yeah, it was him falling in love with her that brought him back, piece by piece. Plus there were fairies, and he was cursed-the spindle was the last name of the girl, and yeah, another great story!!!

Next was another modern day Matchstick girl/other fire when it's cold story, of a girl who runs illegal most of the time soup kitchens, and helps out people who need it, and a policeman who loves her, and who she loves, but that they haven't told the other, and a bully. And the Christmas Comet, yeah, this was a nice, fantastic story!

Finally, there was a modern day story of Cinderella, who while the step mom didn't make her a servant, she really put her down, and wasn't very nice, and yeah, then there was unexpected romance, and yeah, it was a great book, with doubts, worries, and love.

Yep, 5 great stories, really enjoyed them, and yeah, just a great anthology!
