Week 11 Reviews: The Prince, The Selection

From Goodreads:
Before thirty-five girls were chosen to compete in the Selection...

Before Aspen broke America's heart...

There was another girl in Prince Maxon's life...

From Goodreads:
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself--and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

My First Review of The Selection
My Review:
It was awesome to read The Prince! I loved being in Maxon's head, because then we got to learn more about him, and how his life was life before the Selection, just leading up to it, and yeah, then the actually start of the Selection with America!

Just being in this world again, that was pretty awesome! I mean, I really feel for America, the guy that she's been in love with, wants her to have the chance to have a better life-and she gets it. But that means that she has to give another guy a chance to win her heart.

But then around the middle, Aspen shows up, and yeah, things get a bit more complicated, and she almost becomes a rope in a tug of war between Aspen and Maxon, though Maxon doesn't know about it, and Aspen can't openly show his interest.

So what I want to happen in The Elite: I want to find out more about the motives of the 2 rebel groups! Both the North, and the South, what they're looking for, what they want, why the South is more violent then the North. I also want to get out of the palace for a bit, and explore more of this world!

Yeah, so this was a great novella and a great book, loved reading and rereading them, so awesome, and I can't wait to read The Elite!
