Week 22 Review: Insurgent

From Goodreads:
One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

My Review:
This was a fantastic read, because Tris is broken from the events of Divergent, but she's not out, and she's a fighter, and then there were the whole events of this book, shocking betrayals, and shocking discoveries, and yeah, the wait for book 3 is going to be painful!

We get to see a lot of the other factions in this book, from Amity, and how they come to decisions, to a bit of Candor, and how they work, and the inside of Erudite, so now we've seen all of them, which was very, very nice! Especially since that's the way that they thought was supposed to live better lives, having the full picture was definitely a good thing.

One thing that I didn't get, was that they went to a lot of trouble to get the recording of the trial, and then Tris goes and destroys it, and it seemed a bit pointless, and a bit sad, too. Just all that wasted effort, just gone.

We also got to learn a bit more on the divergent, and then near the end, we got a hint of why Divergent is important, and all these new pieces of information, they just creep on your brain, until you're figuring out small things, connecting some dots, so a bit makes sense, and then we get the bigger picture, as we learn more and more, until we have the fullest picture we can get from the full book, and from the previous book, that will become the biggest picture at the end of book 3!

The ending of this book, well, I was thinking something something like that was going to happen, not necessarily where it was, but I was wondering where they came from, and the ending, definitely gave us a starting point there, and with some clues from before, we have some information on all that. And it's very, very, very interesting, and I just can't wait for the next book!

Such a great book, really enjoyed it, and yeah, just read this book, because it's really great, and yeah. Read it!
